23 Ways to be Happy at Work: #21 - Give yourself a gift

Submitted by Lori Grant on July 31, 2009 – 10:09 amNo Comment

jack-spade-bagNeed a quick happiness pick me up? Give yourself a gift as a reward. At times, we should treat ourselves to a gift. You work hard, so every now and then treat yourself to something that you’ve always wanted for work. Is it a new shirt? New shoes? How about a new computer bag, new messenger bag, or backpack? My rewards include Adidas Original shoes, Jack Spade bags, and anything Levenger.

What are your favorite things?

I’m the same today as I was a kid. I loved new stuff for school. Today, work is like grade school because I enjoy having the right gadgets that makes me more productive or work more fun. Some things don’t change. My favorites thing are still bags and back packs, so these are often gifts or rewards that I give myself. I buy Tumi products like wheeled computer bags, luggage, totes, and back packs. I buy Jack Spade messenger bags for the weekends. I love Columbia back packs when I need to carry a lot of items. What are your favorite things?

Having the right gear makes me happy. I’ve learned to give myself gifts or reward myself when I need a boost or when I’ve worked hard on a project. What can you give yourself that will make you happier at work?
